The "Takeover Tour 2008" is what it's called, and it will be our most far-reaching and risky stunt yet: a month long “TAKEOVER TOUR” spanning the entire eastern and south central United States. The target – 311 & Snoop Dogg’s summer tour.

We've toured the nation's club circuit successfully a few times over, but for this one we have decided to take touring and promotion to a new level.

Wait, so the band has been invited to tour with 311?

Definitely not. We were not invited by any means," says drummer Hoagman. “This is parasitic infiltration at its best. Will it be our greatest Takeover of all time? All signs point to yes."

Armed to the hilt with a generator, a traveling crew of two dedicated street-teamers (Pukey and Chito Bambino) and existing fans in every city, 10,000 demo CD’s, and a commitment to go without sleep for a month, we will play ‘takeover concerts’ outside of the arena venues, before the inside concert begins, at all fourteen stops along the 311 tour, beginning in Philadelphia July 15th and ending in Austin August 2, 2008. We've also booked a few late-night club dates in Philly, NYC, Wilmington, NC, and Baton Rouge, LA.

We have
been in takeover training for several years now, having successfully executed missions ranging from college campuses at lunch time (UCLA, UC-Berkeley, FSU, for example) to the Austin City Limits Festival (see FOX News coverage). Our most successful takeover came in 2006 outside the Austin Music Hall at a 311 concert in Austin. Some of y'all were there: we set up directly in front of the venue, which was heavily patrolled by Police. After a full ten-song set with no hassle from the authorities (gotta love Austin cops), a large crowd was begging for sample CD’s and info about the band.

We've also been under some intesnse physical training. Here's a sample of the exercises and their applications. If you're a FanSaw who will be meeting us at one of the takeovers, email BONESAW for your training manual:

Amidst the ever more competitive environment for bands to gain attention, we have forsworn the standardized and impersonal myspace "friend-requesting" campaign and have instead decided to take it straight to the people, LOUD and LIVE and definitely UN-INVITED!

PLEASE EMAIL US to get involved. We need FanSaws to meet us at the venues before the shows to help set up, hand out demos, shoot footage for the "TAKEOVER TOUR MOVIE" and everybody knows that a crowd attracts a crowd. Email BONESAW to get involved and tell your friends!

Below is the PRESS CONFERNCE held at Austin's 101X-FM station answering all of the media's questions about the tour:

Brett is a former film-student of movie-maker Morgan Bettz, both of whom have been rolling with us on this whole tour. Though Brett didn't make this BANANAS video you're about to see, he is the star as "Cake-man." It is, in our opinion, the funnies YouTube video known to man.
